Going Clear - Scientology and The Prison of Belief
Cinematographer
This is an HBO feature film about Scientology. I was the cinematographer for all of the re-enactments in the film as well as the Title Sequence. We used Phantom Flex, RED Scarlet and Bolex Cameras. The film was nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Cinematography.
From Vanity Fair: "Having Mike Rinder, Marty Rathbun, and Lawrence Wright all describe an incident where, according to them, Miscavige cranked up Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” and had his tormented faithful fight each other in a game of musical chairs for the privilege to stay in a prison camp known as “The Hole” is chilling enough without the reenactment. Scaramouche just got a whole lot scarier."
